GC-161 is the name of the chemical that Alex Mack was doused with. Developed as a weight loss drug, it has unknown side effects that are being researched by the Chemical Plant of Paradise Valley.

Alexandra Mack, an average kid from Paradise Valley, was walking home from school when a truck carrying the GC-161 chemical lost control and hit a fire hydrant. The accident cause the chemical to spill all over Alex who ran away before the driver could identify her.

Once back home, Alex realizes the chemical has some serious side effects that gave her secret powers:

    1.Telekinesis
    2.Morphing into a puddle
    3.Zap electricity

Eversince the accident, the chemical plant has been looking for Alex to conduct experiments and human trial of GC-161 that would otherwise be years away.

Alex's dad, George Mack is the lead researcher for the GC-161 project, but like Alex's mother, he has no clue whatsoever that his daugher is the kid from the accident. In fact, her siter Annie and her best friend Ray are the only ones who know Alex's secret.

While the truck driver Dave, and the chemical plant's head of security Vince both relentlessy look for the kids from the accident, Alex, Annie, and Ray work together to avoid detection and capture by the chemical plant.
